Farmers Shine at the July 2023 Agriculture Fair in Mzuzu: A Celebration of Innovation and Collaboration

From July 26th to 28th, 2023, the Agriculture Fair at Mataifa Ground in Mzuzu was a remarkable event for farmers supported by Find Your Feet. Farmers from Engucwini, Mpherembe, and Bwengu in Mzimba North, as well as Ntchenachena in Rumphi district, gathered to share innovative farming techniques and showcase their unique products.

This fair was more than just a display of agricultural products; it was a hub of learning and networking. The participating farmers had the opportunity to connect with key input suppliers such as Farmers Organization Ltd, SeedCo, Ziweto Enterprises, and Lab Processors Ltd. The products presented by the farmers, including fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, and local chickens, stood out, highlighting their dedication and ingenuity.

Throughout the event, farmers engaged with the latest and most effective techniques in crop cultivation, soil management, pest control, and irrigation. The fair provided valuable insights into methods that can enhance productivity and sustainability on their farms.

This successful event, made possible through the ongoing partnership with Norwegian Church Aid Malawi under the TRANSFORM program, inspires and motivates us to continue empowering smallholder farmers.
